UGA has had a beef with me ever since I posted this reply in this thread. Later, I edited a personal attack he leveled at me in that thread, and he took exception to it. Probably I should have just given him a warning then, but I hate to do that when I'm personally involved in the situation, so instead I just edited his post. Since then he's worn the sig he has now, and I've let that slide, too.

Today he posted something in macroboy's status in which he called me "he/she/it." That's three times, the last one unprovoked. I deleted his comment and gave him a warning for a personal attack.

What's really stupid is you essentailly stated (in response to another post) that it's tough to judge intent. You have to call them as you see them. If he wants to get his panties in a wad, we can deal with him.

I've pretty much had enough with this guy. Between his signature (see below) and his constant harping on what I post, it's getting to the point where he's focused too much on me and not discussing things as the board intends.

Today's issue: The gays in college football thread. I had been having a long conversation with bigg10 and others when UGA chimes in HERE. I know what he's doing so I ignored him, but he kept at it just a few posts later singling me out with THIS POST. He kept it up throughout the thread, regardless of what I said. I actually quoted him HERE when I told him "You're trying too hard," from his response - again to me - on his status update HERE (the Herman Cain status update).

While you're at his About Me page, check this line out in his Interests section:

He came up with this sig after I edited out a video he posted, then went on a b!^@h-fest about it, which I also edited. I should have given him another warning for that, but we had just quarreled and I didn't want to seem like I was piling on. I've been biting my tongue for a while hoping he'd just drop it, but enough is enough.

I see no merit to this guy's membership here. He's a jacka$$, he has a problem with authority, and he goes out of his way to pick fights. The only reason he doesn't have more than two strikes is I frankly got tired of giving him more. This guy makes my job unnecessarily difficult. I'm sick of it, and I'm requesting a ban.

For some time, I've been watching your little tiff with knapplc. You seem incapable of recognizing that he has been moderating the board in accordance with the guidelines we've established. Worse, you can't seem to let it go; you are continually confronting him or attempting to goad him into some kind of response. I've had enough. Your account has been banned.

Guy has posted through 54 IP addresses. I didn't look at all of them, but I sampled the widest ranging of them, and they originate in Alabama or Georgia. I'm guessing he either posts through a phone or his employer/school/ISP has him behind some kind of proxy that changes his IP frequently. So, be on the lookout for him to re-register. I hate to ban 54 IP addresses - I'm afraid we'll hit someone else who uses the same ISP or is behind the same proxy server. But we'll deal with it if we have to.

Sorry about this Lance. Thanks for taking the high road as long as you did.

Thanks, Frank. It sucks to have to do this, but he's pissing on the board. I just outlined the stuff he's doing with me. He has other little spats going with other members, too.

He's always used to seem like an OK guy, if abrasive at times. To be honest, he was a good member to have around and got along OK with a lot of people. But this thing he has with knapp (and other users) is over the top. You're exactly right, he's kinda a jacka$$. Sorry you had to deal with that man. Hopefully he gets the message.

That's what I don't get. I don't remember ever having problems with him until I edited one of his posts many months ago. Before that, even though he can be a jacka$$, we seemed to get along OK. After that day, nothing I said or did seemed to matter, he was pissed at me and he would not let it go. And he's done this with others, including aspeedlin and his issue with Roxy15. It got to the point where even Roxy told him off, and that's pretty unusual for her.

I'm curious how he responds to Frank's email.

Yeah, he's been bagging on Roxy's jokes for some reason. Very immature.

Don't expect a reply to my email to him - I emailed him through the Board, and since he's banned he can't respond to it. We may get one to admin@huskerboard.com - if so, I'll pass on what he says.

I don’t read all the crap on here but what is so bad about what this dude said that would constitute a ban? Maybe I’m out of touch with the direction of the board, because the examples shown are pretty tame compared to some of the stuff we have let go around here. Like I said though I don’t read every thread so I’m sure I missed something. :dunno

FWIW: I thought UGAHusker was kind of a nipple anyways. I’m not hurt that they are gone. There is only so much back patting about the SEC tailgates, popped collars and supposed interaction with girls I can handle. I had my fill from that boob.

I agree with this too (also at the bold), but he was going after a mod. I hate the idea of different rules applying for if you're a mod or not, but there's not much to say for a guy that's going out of his way to make a mod's job more difficult than it has to be.

Exactly. If a member can't respect the work of the Mods, the least he can do is at least not continutally bait the Mod. If he can't even do that, then he needs to go - if he doesn't respect the actions and holds a grudge, sooner or later it's going to lead to problems.
