Not too surprised. Most likely he would never have seen the field at Nebraska. With Ganz, Lee, and Witt, it would take a heck of a lot for a guy to come in and start over them. At least at Iowa he may get to play.

I'm not too worried about getting a QB this class, but we could really use a stud for the next class.

 
not a desperate need this year, with Ganz, Lee and Witt back next year. if we do not take one this year then NU will really need to get one next year

IOWA CITY (AP) — Keokuk quarterback James Vandenberg, the state's leader in career passing yards and touchdowns, has pledged to sign with Iowa, Keokuk coach Jayson Campbell said Friday. Vandenberg led Keokuk to the Class 3-A state title this season, throwing for an Iowa single-season record 3,729 yards and 49 touchdowns.

Vandenberg picked Iowa over Nebraska.
