OT Ronnie Stanley [Notre Dame Commit]

I read some statements on another board that indicated he NU staff won't be actively recruiting Bishop Gorman in the near future. Sounded like bad blood by either Bo and Co or the HS staff, most likely resulting from the Grumble recruitment. Anyone know for sure? If so, we won't be getting his young man.

The day after that was stated, the article about Stanley having interest in Nebraska came out.. i'd take it with a grain of salt.

I know what you are refering to, and it had to do with the Jalen Grimble situation. I think whomever stated that was a bit off the mark. Obviously.

As far as I know there never was any bad blood between our staff and the Bishop Gorman staff. The Grimble situation would create bad blood between USC and BG staff due to the fact that USC basically told Jalen either move to OL or GTFO.

And it would be near stupidity to quit recruiting what's probably the best high school in Nevada that cranks out D1 talent. If I recall the BG staff were strongly in favor of Grimble going to NU. A kid has to make his own decisions in the end and NU wasn't for him. Think this whole "report" is crap.

Sounds like he's almost a guarantee from my sources.
No offense, but he is nowhere close to being a lock. It will be tough to beat out USC, Notre Dame, and Florida State for him. He might give us a long look, but I don't see him coming to Nebraska.

These two are the front runners IMO. The Trojans probably have a slight advantage due to the proximity of home and then one Grimble is there and they have scored well at Bishop Gorman.
