Problem with the Board

Just to let everyone know, we seem to again have a permissions problem with the board. The other day, zoogies and I were trying to make some corrections and discovered that we can't gain FTP access to some parts of the board. Tonight, I tried updating the Next Game block, and while it shows as updated in the Control Panel, it isn't showing on the site. I bring this up in case any member asks - we're working on it, but no ETA.

 
AR, the next game and prev game stuff are in the same block now, right? I messed around with the cache to live time and it seemed to work.

 
Yep, same block. Thanks for fixing it. But now I wonder - why did it happen? We've been using the block all season; now it suddenly does this. That, combined with the FTP permissions error has me a little worried.

 
I just changed the EOP format to interface with the J cylinder. I think I created a bomb................anyone see an issue with this!? I have no idea what you two just said. chuckleshuffle

AR - this is the same issue we've had with those blocks for a while now. Although now that I think about it, it might have started after the updates. I cna't remember, because we haven't been using those blocks for a real long time either. Maybe we just poorly understand how the TTL setting is supposed to work. At least I do.

 
Yeah, but remember - the issue only occurred when we edited an original block (one we had in place prior to the server move). It was during that time that I combined the Next Game and Previous Game into the single block - I had to use the Previous Game block for both, and even then we edited the TTL so it would work. And it had been working all season. Now, suddenly, it stopped and you had to edit the TTL again. Weird - just shouldn't have happened. And an odd coincidence with the chmod and permissions issue on the FTP folders - I wonder if some update was pushed out?

No, that can't be it - the block for the Featured Thread is working. I just changed it tonight.
