The more things change, the more they stay the same.

    The Masters... in November? Wow.

Professional golf gets players from all over the world, and the travel required for them makes it challenging for the players during the pandemic.  PGA events and the golf majors also require a large amount of volunteers to help make the tournament run smoothly.  Yes, some of the volunteers wouldn't be needed if the tournaments were played without crowds, but having a golf tournament for just TV isn't as easy as it seems.

Regarding local golf courses, I think they should be able to stay open, if the course and the players follow strict guidelines.  These include:  walking only, no entry into the clubhouse/restaurant, spacing out tee times, raised cups, keeping flags in, removing bunker rakes, etc.  Basically, anything that can be done to increase social distancing and limiting groups and passing of the virus.

Certainly not easy, no.  But absolutely doable, yes.

The necessary travel by the players and caddies would be foolish unless the current pandemic conditions greatly improved.

To make matter worse for the Ol' Tree Nuts, three new lawsuits have been filed by former members of the wresting team accusing OSU of enabling a sexual predator.

And it was covered up and ignored by US Congressman Jim Jordan who used to be an assistant wrestling coach at that time and multiple wrestlers say they told him about it.

Holy cow, that AD is totally f*$cked up.

I wonder how soon before BTN goes the HBO route and offers truly à la carte service (i.e. not tied to a cable/satellite/streaming service)? I definitely think there's a market for it.

DirtecTV Now is the way I want to go but if we end up keeping Comcast I'll just add whatever streaming service includes BTN for the least $$'s. I'll keep working on the ball and chain. The big bonus would be if we lose that mind numbing Hallmark channel. Really tired of the fluff romance shows you guise.

Play Station Vue has all the sports networks including BTN. We pay around 50 bucks a month but you will need a streaming device like a Roku

Coincidentally, my three favorite clubs teams are from Germany (Bayern), England (Arsenal), and Italy (Juventus), so I guess my national team allegiances go hand-in-hand. I still haven't decided who I'll be cheering for on Sunday.

Can you imagine the melt down that happened in about every pub in England after that loss!

Net neutrality, it's been nice knowing you.

I mean, we didn't have it 3 years ago and I don't remember my bill being different.

The price to access the internet was likely going to increase under net neutrality. Charter, Comcast, Verizon, etc don't really care about saving you money.  But now they can limit sites and applications that compete with their services. Cord cutters might not care for this in the future if you are on a service that is competing with your isp that also offers cable TV service or streaming service.

A lot has changed in three years.

Cellular companies have already been experimenting by allowing you to work around their data caps with certain plans like Tmobile's Netflix streaming. Technically it probably violates net neutrality but Pai didn't care.

Russia banned from the 2018 Winter Olympics for doping.

Whatch the documentary Icarus on Netflix about the Russian doping scandle last Olympics. It's insane. Pretty much every athlete in every sports dopes, or should be doping prior to competition to be competative (not that it's ethical). Only the Russians have been ballsy enough to try to keep doing it during or just before competitions, and bypass or buy off the syste. I would guess over 90% of athletes cycle something at some point during training.

Not fair. I saw some burnouts doping in their car earlier today. Betcha those guys haven’t been banned from the Olympics.

Looks like Italy isn't going to qualify for the World Cup. Gian Piero Ventura might get fired before Mike Riley.

@zoogs EU has probably the toughest qualifications in the world.  CONCACAF is actually the easiest and we couldn't even make it.  You are right in the fact that the top 3 go and the 4th place plays a playoff type game against an Asian conference team, this year Honduras played Australia for the WC birth.

Gianluigi Buffon is my all-time favorite player, and he officially retired from international soccer after the match. It's really sad to see him go out like this.

And I was right, Ventura has already resigned as Italy's manager. Take notes, Riley.
