Yeah, bones pretty much take a minimum set time to heal. The variable is how long it takes him to get back to where he can really use it and push it. He's young so I would guess the time required will be on the low end. My son spiral fractured his tibia playing hockey. They told him 8 weeks before he could play again and he was back on the ice in about 4-5 weeks and in games by 6-7 weeks. It would've been 6 months (or never) for an old fart like me

Tough break for your son.  Here's to the speedy recovery.  Attitude during the healing process makes a monumental difference, so he just needs to stay positive and all will be well before you know it.

thanks again for all the well wishes.    he was determined to get to the game tonight and he made it and he still got to be a captain for the coin toss.   he is with the team for the after game meal so he must have handled the pain well.

I wonder if pole dancing has the same connotations in China as it does here. Guessing it must not or what the hell are they thinking.

I was thinking acrobat training but acrobats don't usually wear platform heels.

Men won the battle of the sexes when pole dancing became a form of exercise.  I forget what movie that was from.

Senator John McCain has died.  America has lost a hero

I lean liberal in more ways than not, and John McCain was my single favorite Republican.

I'll never forget the bravery this man exhibited, whether it was refusing to be released from Hanoi before his fellow POWs or having the spine give his own party's attempt to overturn healthcare law a decisive thumbs down in the wee hours of the night. (Edit: Remember he also had the integrity to correct a woman falsely calling his opponent a Muslim at a campaign rally? That moment forever enshrined the character of John McCain for me.)

What a sad day. What an amazing man.

The most I've been upset in years.  He was a good man, regardless of some of his political leanings he was of good character.  He worked across the aisle, admitted his mistakes.  We could all be more like him.  The video of him correcting one of his supporters when she accused Obama of being an "arab" makes me cry - to think we've gone from that to what we have in the GOP now is sickening.  Godspeed John McCain.  May your buddy Lindsay start putting actions behind his words of admiration of how you lived your life, and may others step up to be more like you.

Video of that encounter, if you've never seen it.

    SO MUCH RAMEN!

With the average packet costing a consumer only 13 cents, you could eat three square meals a day for an entire year for just $142.65. To put that into perspective, an average American spends $6,372 a year on food — eating ramen would reduce that to about 3 percent of the average cost.
