    Barney said in the post game, that the 3rd down play was a run/pass option…TA could have given to AA or kept it, or thrown quick to DPE…. as much as I cursed Beck, it appears as if it was TA who made the read…personally, we should have run it twice,but hindsight is 20/20

    There is NO EXPLANATION for those games, other than an unprepared team.

    Claiming some vague inside information, that a person "knows what they know," is 100% irrelevant to the fact that Bo put unprepared teams on the field each of his seven years. You don't listen to insiders when that happens, you fire the coach.

Someone very high up in the University is trying to eliminate anyone with ties to a certain coach, whom this higher up is red-eyed jealous of….     I really hope I am wrong, because I am a huge Ron Brown fan…. fortunate enough to have had a few sit downs with him. He is great for the University. Let me re-phrase.. I really hope the person who gave the info is wrong. We will have to wait to see.

    I know that we are supposed to be patient…but I am getting nervous over our lack of DC, in hopes that it isn't Banker…. I would have loved a Muschamp… Why can Auburn go out a sway him, but we can't or don't want to try. $$$$ isn't an issue here. Go BIG Riley for goodness sake.

    I have made it pretty clear on my stance on the entire coaching change, hire, and potential staff…….BUT, while listening to 1620 yesterday, Charles Davis was on, and I love me some Charles Davis….He just stopped short of calling Riley a slam dunk hire. He said he came "off of the radar", but could be the perfect fit at this time for Nebraska. With that, I rest a little easier.

    The only reason it was off the radar and surprising, is because no one knew who we were targeting. So many got caught up in the tressel/frost crap, that anything else short of Gruden was going to be an utter disappointment. I listened to Davis yesterday. All he did was reiterate the same sentiments that hopeful guys like have been saying for a week now.

    We will lose if our Oline doesn't come to play. Our D can handle their O. DPE will be needed.

    USC has some talented weapons but not as deep as used to be. We'll need defensive pressure to win or their QB will pick us apart plus they can get ground game going too. Not a bad match-up. Think the game will be within 10 points and either team can win. Whoever controls LOS will win. My concern is if our OL can hold up.

    If we play in the Holiday or Foster farms bowl vs PAC 12 team, how much input, if any will Coach Riley have in scouting reports and suggested game plan…. Any thoughts.

    This whole week has been a nightmare for some….( ok, me)…. I didn't want Bo gone….then, search gets me excited……then I hear the name, Mike Riley…..depressed again…..listened to him and learned more, so excited again….. now hearing rumors about MOST of OSU staff joining him….scared to death again…. I need motion sickness medicine for this roller coaster I am riding. Please hire a NEW OC and DC.

    No need to wait and see what actually happens. Just get the torches and pitchforks right now. Wow, my fear was some of the Bo supporters would only give the new guy 1 year. Now I can see some people won't even give him 2 hours.

    I was considering taking you off the ignore list BRPW but I guess I've gotta check the box that blocks your responses in status updates too. Who said it had to be a "splash" hire? By all accounts, he looks to be a very solid coach. Ya'll got to remember he was somewhat limited just by being at Oregon State. I'll give him a chance. The only thing that worries is if he goes pass happy on the O side. I want this to be a run first team.

    Channel 7 wowt in Omaha reported the new hot rumor is possibly David Shaw….said flight into California today. Per Sean Callahan, the airport that plane landed would only be to visit Shaw….. I know that I am against the entire move, but if we could get SHAW, I would friggin do cartwheels. He has been my #1 choice, over the years whenever someone would ask me who my "dream" coach would be !!! PLEASE !

    reporters on 1620 with Benning are trying to put end to the Tressel talk and another national guru said the word "within the college football coaches circle" is that SE is after a HC, not Frost…..fwiw…or bs

    SE made it pretty clear that he wants a proven coach, so I doubt Frost will be the front runner. Tressel, still a possibility but unlikely. SE wants a homerun, and both mentioned have major risks.
