‎100 greatest Rock Drum Performances

Wow- I am getting Old. I have heard of maybe six of those.
I'm probably at least a decade older than you and I recalled how ~23 went without youtubbing them and guess I'd recognize about double that many more if I'd heard them.

I'm a pretty big Tool fan but I'd never heard #1 before.

I recognized a few drummers that played in bands I wasn't familiar with.

The first solo I remember learning as a 5th grader on my brothers' drums was a Beatles' aong I can't think of.

EDIT:

I'm even more frustrated.

This is a better example of Brann Dailor, needs to be higher on the list...

His ability to just be playing these insane parts, but yet hold the song together, is nothing short of amazing.

I'm glad that they're are some legit guys on there.

But Steely Dan, c'mon....

I met Brann Dailor when I saw them in Omaha. Really cool dude. He was just chillin' in the crowd when the other bands were on stage. Can't wait for The Hunter, September is going to be a good month. :)

I was a little suprised Keith Moon (Who), and Stewart Copeland (Police) got so many mentions...I liked the songs and the drum parts were fun to play along with..But nothing seemed all that extrordinary about the performances.

I grew up having my dad play Dave Brubeck, Max Roach, and Buddy Rich, and most of my life John Bonham and Neil Peart were my favs..Nice to see them represented..But my latest fav. (Joey Jordison/Slipknot) not even mentioned.

What?!?! Great song off of one of the greatest Tool albums. Danny is the man! My personal favorite rock drummer with what I think is arguably the best band ever.

Blaze1up-

Tommy Lee? I remember seeing that show when he went to Nebraska. What a joke. The NU drum line could out play him any day. He's a showmanship more than a musician.
