Time to start the 2011 preferred walkon thread because we have one to talk about. Aaron Hayes from Elkhorn. He's 6'4, 265 plays offensive guard. Still a little weak for his size bench 285 and squats 385. Nothing a redshirt year and some time with Mr Dobson can't fix.

Dang... Our scholly Oline class AND already three walk ins??

I can't speak for the quality of these guys, but dang... The law of averages is on our side. Some of these guys have to turn out.

Creighton Prep running back Richard Wynne, who was Class A's top running back in 2010 will walk-on at Nebraska. That's a nice pick-up.

 
Quick question everyone. How many walk ons do we usually take? My little brother has been in contact with coaches for the last year and is in the running for a walk on offer. Just starting to get nervous for him.

probably around 15-20

15 is usually around the number of preferred walkons they will take. Then there is usually 10-20 more walk ons that join the program later in the school year.
