2014-15 Season Notes

You can tell he isn't playing at the level he was last year. He could be a spark at times last year. This year it seems I cringe every time he touches the ball. It's too bad.

I’m not terribly interested in further dissecting the mess. But looking ahead at 2015-16, Miles must reconsider the offensive blueprint. If there’s no big man in the program and opposing defenses (and officials) are going to make it hard to get to the hoop, how does Nebraska get easy baskets?

The Huskers rank 327th nationally in offensive rebounding percentage, 341st in 3-point percentage and 283rd in assist percentage.

So they don’t get second chances, they don’t make jump shots and they don’t pass well.

There’s not much left!

I know the personnel is going to be different next year. NU adds Andrew White, Ed Morrow, Glynn Watson and Michael Jacobsen. But how can this team transform from a dreadful offense to an above-average offense?

You can only do so much with the talent you have. Plus, wearing down from no depth.

Petteway 34.9 min. per game, last yr. 31.7

Shields 35.6, 32.6

Pitchford 27.9, 23.2

Hard to take players off the floor, when no one else can score. Plus, the fatigue both physically & mentally from seeing double teams every time you touch the ball.
