2014 Alternate Unis?

What would be really cool, in my opinion, is if they painted bright red under the black, so when they scratch it up, with hits and stuff, there will be bright red scratches left to see. I'm not sure it's possible, but it seem like it could be done if they put in some work.

This.

I don't really care what we do. I have always been a fan of Oregon and their unis, but Nebraska isn't Oregon. I know this is over used but, Alabama and Oklahoma don't do that sort of stuff.

Auburn = no

Florida St = Not really occasional "unconquered" black

Alabama = no

Oklahoma = NO

Texas = No

Clemson = No

Stanford = No

LSU = No (I don't count the shiny Gold helmet)

USC = NO

It would be a hell of a lot better if we went with a "red chrome" helmet instead of actual chrome.

Like these...but red..

For the record, I'm good with just switching up the uniforms once a year. Minor changes to the helmet if necessary.

Switching uniforms 1 game a year is fine but make it consistent and don't change it every year. Last year i didn't even know who some of the teams i usually know because they changed up their uniforms a lot. We are a traditional school and need to stick to that for identity.

So.... Auburn and USC. Woohoo.

Were never going to be a multi alternate uniform school, thankfully. Once a year is plenty. Gets the recruits excited, the college fanbase takes notice, it accomplishes its goal.

Id like to see an all white road alternate this year against Wiscy, and they could wear their red helmets. This way we could either debunk or prove the cursed all white unis.

This photo isn't totally accurate - it shows the helmet sans stripes, which never happened. the main difference than our regular unis were the pants.

Here's the best pic I can find:

I knew the mockup wasn't 100%, but didn't know if showing a picture of the actual uni's would be effective towards the point of "Clemson does alternates too" to Nebraska fans that might not spot the differences. I like the look, though.

Would you consider the purple tops as an alternate also?

Oh, and StreeterCL, it's weird that you are so selective of your big-time program list to conveniently, or so you thought, fit your agenda of "we shouldn't do alternate uniforms", when you left out:

Ohio State

Florida

Michigan

Notre Dame

UCLA

Texas A&M

Georgia

Tennessee

Virginia Tech
