2014 Starting Lineup

That time of year again. With the holiday being in the middle of the week I'm planning on starting this next Monday. I'll need a bit of time to set up the schedule, and that'll hopefully give Ryan enough time to make some groovy avatars.

Same drill as last year - nobody can hold the same position they held last year, and Mods & Admins aren't eligible for anything. Also, I'm going to make it explicitly clear that no banned members (read: EZ-E) are eligible for this thing, and if anyone makes such a nomination I'll just remove it and PM them.

If everyone's cool with not making Ryan do extra work, I'm thinking we'll just use the same avatars as last year for the Mods. Cool?

PM me if you need another copy of your old one. Of course, participation is voluntary so if you dig your avatar now, it ain't no thing.

I'm having major design block on ideas for new avatars, do you want to recycle the ones from last year and I'll throw in the new alternate? If anyone else has some ideas for them, throw 'em out.

Yeah, no users were listed. I think I have them filled in correctly. Just wanted to let you know so you could double-check and make sure I did it right.

I went ahead and locked the Kicker and Punter voting threads. The Kicker vote was very close so I thought it should be closed to prevent any potential controversy. Probably would have been fine but just in case.

The secret about ties is I wait until I close the threads to vote. That way there's never a tie, and the folks nominated for two current positions never win both.

Five years I've been doing this and nobody's caught on yet - or if they have, nobody's ever said anything.

I mentioned something about this years ago in this forum. Just one more thing to bring you up to speed on...

 
Yeah, I was wondering about that because there have been some close ones this year. Just didn't know what your Sunday schedule was so I thought I'd lock them in case you were tied up.
