Each year, I think we should do an black home alternate to honor the Blackshirts. I thought Louisville had a good kit, that is Adidas, and featured some things in our regular uniforms.

Just give me a matte black helmet with shiny red N. I think that would be a great look.
I like the Louisville Uni with a gray Carbon Fiber Helmet

I know I know, as a fan on your couch you deserve the ultimate say on what they wear. But could you please maybe let them have fun?
No.

Men don't have fun dressing up. We like wearing what we have always worn. We should be turning boys into men, not prolonging their childhood. Stamp out these costumes, don't indulge them. When I was your age, we NEVER wanted to wear anything new or different...but I was a lot older than you are now when I was your age...we HAD to be, because of the war...or the Depression...or we were depressed about the war, I don't rightly remember.

I don't know about alternate uniforms but I wish Nebraska would go back to wearing the 2001 uniforms as the main season uniform.
I agree those uniforms were classic and sweet. I'd love to ditch the striped pants to look less like Wisconsin and go back to that with the long red home socks and long white away. That or an Indianapolis Colts style of uniforms (similar to 1971/1972.) If I remember correctly, I believe Solich had a say in uniforms back then. Under Pelini the players had the say in what to wear. Not sure what Mike Riley's approach would be BUT a change in uniforms under the Riley era would be nice just nothing drastic. I guess 2003 was the last time we had non striped pants and single striped jerseys.

It would be cool to wear a sliced style uniform red on one half white on the other or black on one half and red the other. I think it'd be unique and I can't recall anyone doing this. It would be like looking at an illusion at a player as if they're wearing two different uniforms

I think the university should decide on either the skinny N that's on the helmet or the fat one that's on the stadium and everything else and never change it again. There should never be more than a home and road uniform. Tradition should matter at Nebraska, regardless of what everyone else does.

If done right it could look great. If done wrong it could look MARYLAND.

The founder and CEO of Under Armour is a Maryland grad. He wants to do for Maryland, what Phil Knight and Nike have done for the University of Oregon. I am not saying Maryland will have the success that Oregon has had in football. But, the outlandish uniforms do get people talking about Maryland and Under Armour. For every old person who hates their stuff, there are about 10 kids who think the stuff is really cool. To me, that's smart business.

If they're going to do it they should just modernize a throwback uniform, similar to what Nike does for Ohio State. So for Nebraska modernize one of these...

I like the 1929 graphic N. If we could modernize that some way, I think that would be cool. AND NOT in the 2012 version... NO NO NO. Maybe if I find some time I'll come up with something cool.

What's funny is when I first saw the alternates this image is the first I saw of it:

I really liked this graphically and thought this was it and loved it! I saw it in a small image on twitter, so I didn't really "get" that it was just for wearing under the actual alternate, but that exaggerated "N" like that with the use of gradient red to black has some awesome potential for actual jersey. I like the idea of the "N" on the jersey, but I really hated the 2012 jersey... Go figure...

For the 2012 game against Wisconsin, there were complaints from both teams regarding the large letters on the front of the jerseys causing small numbers. The teams couldn't identify the players substituting in and out due to the small numbers on the front of the jersey. I don't think there will a jerseys again like that, and I am surprised the NCAA doesn't have guidelines for minimum number sizes on the jerseys.

Yeah... but... That's boring... (very sensible post)

Your post made me laugh in a manner in which I could be heard.
