*** 2017 Recruiting ***

So, answer me this...since I have never seen Nebraska in this situation before.

We have 5 spots with 10 kids announcing that we have recruited hard. It's in a quiet period where the coaches can't contact the recruits.

What happens if the heavens rain down on us in glory and we receive 8 or 9 LOIs? I have never seen a scenario where we could take 25 or 26 kids.
We can actually take at least 25 without any issue and possibly a couple more if guys leave early.

So I'm pretty sure we could make it happen. Would be a great problem to have.

Farrell likes what we've done with this class, but predicting to be outside top 20 unless we land a surprise commitment. Gotta mean we lose out on Lenior, Johnson, and Lewis...at least that's how I interpret it.https://n.rivals.com/news/three-point-stance-underrated-and-overrated-big-2017-decommits
Farrell is a Rivals guy, where we are currently #31. So even if we hit on one (or both) of them we might not crack the top 20 on Rivals.
If we had one of those guys in our class now, we would be ranked #20, but that's saying other teams don't fill up either, so I do get where you're coming from. If we landed two of those three we could potentially crack top 15 if what we have on deck follows through.

Has anyone else thought about the fact that Johnson, Blades, Lenoir, Calvin, Thomas, Rafdal all are at or near the top of our board and all at one time were committed to someone else and then decommited after we continued to recruit them.

Things that make you go Hmmmmm......

Ahhhh...yes. I was looking at ones we were still going after.

Another thing is I think, just like blades now, almost all of these resulted in us receiving a significant amount of CBs after they decommited.

DWill visited both Blade's and Lenoir's parents in the last week. Blades and Lenoir are both in Florida together.

Is we land those two, it would be the best DB coup for us in a very kind time.

If we somehow land all these guys, or just even 4 out of the 6, our recruiting ranking will be around the mid teens and be the best class Nebraska has had in a decade.

Another thing I like about the class, Riley identifies talent! Had quite a few recruits start out with low ratings and make a jump within the next few rankings updates
