*** 2017 Recruiting ***

I updated my list above. Seems like there should be more guys on it but I'm not finding them. Let me know who I'm missing.

I keep seeing more reports about us only taking one DE in this class. That doesn't seem to make sense to me but....

Numbers wise they have 7 scholly DE's returning in 2017 so if the staff like the potential of those guys, there isn't a need to fill roster spots. If the reports are true about only 1 DE, then Parrella must like his current roster potential.

Nate Clouse was doing an interview and said the staff is trying to get Najee Harris to visit. He is the #1 rated player in the nation according to 247 composite. Currently is committed to the Gumps.

Clouse thinks we have a good shot with Stephan Carr out of CA. Is a soft verbal to USC and is the #3 rated RB in the class.

This season's record is going to have more of an impact than normal, I think.

NU must perform or it's not going to have a chance to finish among the top 15 that a lot of people were predicting just a month ago.

Personally, I think a solid 15th to 25th ranked class should be the expectation.

I wonder - what would a "great recruiting staff" be expected to achieve at a school? A 10 spot jump on historic averages? Because barring cheating, I think that a program will generally recruit at a level consistent with its attributes more than its staff (eg, location, facilities, conference, etc). I wonder what the marginal impact is from an "elite" recruiter.
