i haven't talked to brett for a couple days now....but he was very excited to play for the gophers. i doubt he dropped out on his own. i strongly suspect fleck pushed him out.

Brett accepted the gophers offer before football season started. as i understand it the huskers wanted to see how well brett held up this season after season ending knee surgery the year before. fwiw....he played all year and is healthy now.

Interesting guy to visit. 247 has him as a 2star but he has offers from Oregon, USC, and Colorado as well as, obviously, Arizona. Not a bad list
