2018 Early Signees/Enrollees

Merged with the existing thread.

Not sure if Mapieu is still working on academics but I would think he'd sign.  Hopefully Jurgens though there are reports that he's looking at LSU a little more than expected.  Not that a flip is imminent but just didn't think he'd really be looking at all.  Really sounding like Brown probably doesn't sign with NU at all so probably not next week.  I could see Wildeman signing early.

Maybe LSU is telling jurgens what he wants to hear which is TE. Which we all know once they get him signed they will give him a shot for a month and put him at LB like everyone else would.

Do you know if the reports on Jurgens are worth believing? This kid is from my hometown...I'd really love to see him as a Husker.

He visited there recently.  I think it's something he's at least considering.

But I don't think it's really a HUGE concern right now.  Still seems like Nebraska is comfortably in the lead.  But the fact that he's at least looking around a bit is interesting.

well i mean who wouldn’t want to at least visit LSU?

I think the early signing period will actually help peer recruiting. For instance, a guy like Martinez could peer recruit and say look I have already signed, I am going to nebraska. Where I could see in the past guys could look at peer recruiting and be skeptical.

Look at a guy like Bookie who was hard core peer recruiting for Nebraska. Then he bolts and leaves Nebraska. I just think it would mean more if someone says come and play with me- and you know you will actually play with him because he is signed and cant flake out last minute.

Just my thoughts.
