But @GSG seems to be in the best spot.  He's 126 points behind but has three more teams - still 8 teams left is very good.  @Redux also not that far behind with 8 teams left.

i think next year my strategy will be to wait for takota to make his picks...then pick opposite of those teams.

@Redux surges into the lead heading into the Sweet 16.  He's also the only entry with six teams left so that's a good spot to be in.

@GSG only one point back but is short one team so he'll have to try to make that up.

I honestly dont think it is possible for me to be this consistently bad at contests like this, but I am. Just horrible.

I need to start just picking randomly, because my current strategy of using my brain is not working out.

Well, this is a bit anticlimactic but.....

Congrats to @Redux for winning this year's contest.

Crazy.  Both Redux and @GSG have the same four teams left - Villanova, Duke, Florida State and Loyola.  The next three teams behind them only have some combination of those four teams.  Everyone else is too far behind to catch up.

That kind of sucks ... for the contest, not for Redux.  It's usually fun to watch it come down to the last couple games.  Oh well.  Next year I guess.

What's really crazy is that @ScottyIce has three of the Final Four teams and has no chance to win.

I've done this contest for five years both on here and separately off-line with some friends.  The highest winning total out of all those has been 2010.

@Redux has 2040 with at least two and possibly four games to go.
