** 2018 Opponent Previews: Colorado (Game 2) **

The problem with prognosticating this game is;

What Nebraska was/did last year has nothing to do with this year.

CSU was so pitifully bad that CU's first game gives no indication.

That leaves me with only my gut feeling to go on and that is telling me we are a much improved team and Frost simply will not allow CU to come into Lincoln and win in his debut. But it is our first game with quite a few young guys, notably a true frosh QB. That alone should contribute to some jitters and mental mistakes. I would like to predict a larger margin of victory but based on these factors I'm going with 40-27 Huskers.

 
I cringe at how insecure some of our fans have become. Why are people tweeting at their coaches and their official twitter? Fans tweeting about their QB who died? Shameful.

They don’t ever respond about our record over them but they hate that everyone knows we have better fans. Let’s prove it. 

 
lol it’s not just the media. CU fans are obsessing on the new coaching staff like it’s a negative too. I could understand it if we’d just fired a 9-win coach but it makes absolutely no sense in this scenario.

This actually drives me crazy.  Honestly, I can't imagine if I lived somewhere else where "there is more to do".....when would I do it?

So....they sometimes go to the mountains.  You know what???  I'm hanging out on my boat at the lake.  Actually....a lake in central Nebraska THAT'S FILLED WITH COLORADO PEOPLE BECUSE THEIR LAKES SUCK!!!!

I think that's a good prediction.

I'd think our offense could average 10 points per quarter in this one. A 20-20 halftime tie wouldn't be surprising, with defensive adjustments in the second half allowing us to pull ahead and finish it out in the fourth quarter.

But...obviously I'd much rather run up the score and embarrass them.    :w00t

Even if they wanted to ski every day, they'd have to sit in traffic for three hours because I-70 backs up in both directions.

Also there's not much skiing in July and August :)

One thing I really wish Nebraska had is a big airport. At the moment I think I’m fine with living here at least til I retire but it would be nice if it was cheaper to travel.
