I think we jump out to a big lead because Smith starts Peters and he struggles against out defense. Then Williams comes in and makes it more of a game but our offense finally gets the rushing attack going against a pedestrian Illini defense and keeps it out of reach. NU-41 Illini- 31
You have us giving up 31 to a team that has scored 7 against Wisconsin, 14 against a terrible Minnesota that is averaging 36 points scored on them weekly, 23 against Rutgers, and 24 against Purdue.

If that happens, we need to burn those new blackshirts...

I know the defense has been better, but we are anything but consistent right now, plus we have to show we know how to handle winning, it's unfortunately not something our young kids are used to

I hear you, but the defense really isn't young. And Frost specifically mentioned them handling it well, which makes me a little more concerned for the offense this week.

I'm starting to drink the koolaid that the Huskers have faced the toughest defenses in the first three weeks of the season.  I think the floodgates open this weekend.

Nebraska: 48 (500+ yards of offense)

Illinois: 21 (<400 yards of offense)

:thumbs

The only concern I have is us holding onto the ball. And even with that, we gave them 4 fumbles last year and still pulled it out. Turnover margin will determine the margin of victory - I'm going with +2 (we get 3, they get a bad pick or fumble) and a 41-13 win.
