So we are at 23 with potential for 3 more spots for 2020 in commits or transfers?14 defensive commits. 10 offensive commits
4 out of 5 JUCOs are on defense
I think the coaches are putting their money where their mouths are when it comes to talking about needed more dudes on defense.

That’s how I see it. We were talking bout taking 26 if we hit the right kids. So I would assume they will evaluate who did not sign and take a run at a kid or 2. Then snag a transfer or 2. I think the main class addressed needs so these 3 would mostly be best available talentSo we are at 23 with potential for 3 more spots for 2020 in commits or transfers?
Schaefer said the transfer from Rutgers Vokolek counts toward this years numbers, so I wonder if we only have room for 2 with one of those being Betts? So we are at 23 with potential for 3 more spots for 2020 in commits or transfers?
Numbers are a bit fluid until the 2019 class is finished and see who leaves after this semester. But reports are the staff is still planning on 22-25 at this point. Numbers for each position are just my guess right now based on need and current roster. We'll get a better idea what the staff is looking for in the coming months.
Just a reminder that my criteria for this list is to try to keep it to guys who seem to be legitimately interested in Nebraska, which in my book mainly means setting up a visit or having us in their Top 5/10/whatever list. There are a ton of guys who say they're interested who never end up even visiting. So the list is pretty small right now but there are a few guys who have put out a favorites list and we'll start to see more as guys visit this spring.
I'm sure I've missed a few so let me know if you notice someone.

Unless they are an absolute stud I don't think we'll be active at all looking for a TE and interior oline. So, I believe this is how it all ended up. I'm reading we have a couple more spots to fill in February or over the summer with transfers. I think we could use another TE and maybe an interior lineman.
2019 Recruits are in RED and 2020 are in GREEN. Possible commits are in BLUE. Transfers in PURPLE.

The idea was that you need to have at least a two deep roster with every two classes.
FYI.....these are not in any depth chart order.
I see what you're saying and don't disagree. I'm just looking at this and trying to see (if I were a coach) where I would try to plug holes with the couple scholarships available.Unless they are an absolute stud I don't think we'll be active at all looking for a TE and interior oline.
We are good with where we are at with TE and are clear favorites for one of the best in the nation 2021.
Interior oline need for the future is eased by our CSU transfer. We are fine here, imo.
Initial post went over my head. OpeI see what you're saying and don't disagree. I'm just looking at this and trying to see (if I were a coach) where I would try to plug holes with the couple scholarships available.
If we are talking something like a grad transfer or someone who is going to come in as a junior, it really doesn't affect this list.
Wait wait, what? Here is a better look at it....they don't have Gifford or Nouili listed. Looking at the SRs next season we really will only miss 4 guys. Shows that this team hasn't even started yet under this staff.
