2021 Coaching Carousel

I have to be honest that if it is Harrel it doesn't seem like that would be a good fit. I am under the impression that we need a BIG TEN style offensive coordinator and that to me is 4 yards and a cloud of dust. A big RB running behind a big offensive line.  Long  sustained drives of 10 plus plays that take 5 mins off the clock. That to me is the recipe for success. Then when we are up 3 or 4 TDs you can sprinkle in that UCF offense that Frost was made famous for and try to run up the score but you have to a big enough lead first.
The most successful offenses are built on getting chunk/big plays. Iowa's offense really isn't that good, but their lone TD against NU was after a 55-yard run from Goodson.  Wisconsin had 2 TD's on long runs, and another from a KO return to beat NU. Wisky didn't get those big plays against Minnesota and lost.  You are fooling yourself if you think that you can have a consistent offense built on long, sustained drives.

After just one season as USC's offensive coordinator, Graham Harrell suddenly had one of the most desired minds in football. Never mind the disgruntled Trojans fan base, frustrated that “Tailback U” still couldn't grind out the tough yards in Harrell's version of the Air Raid offense.Sep 4, 2021 La Times
Sounds like it fits our current offense.

I find it interesting that many think OU is so great. But, other top programs might poach their coach away from them.

If OU is awesome, why aren’t they forking out the money and keeping him?
