2021 NCAA Tournament

You have to actually drive down there just in hopes you get a ticket?
Unless you want to pay well over face value on Stubhub then there is a good chance there won’t be many available for the public through the UA. First dibs go to season ticket holders and Razorback Foundation members. I wish they sold them on a per-game basis instead of having to buy the whole regional, it would probably be easier for visiting teams to get tickets to their games that way.

Hallmarks response is classic, not even a nod or golf clap.

If somehow they could take Arkansas, that would certainly be an earth shattering, possibly program changing event.

I feel like that's gotta be the whole team's mood. In spite of most of the guys trying to be professional or nonchalant about it, they've got to all be pretty pissed. Hopefully they come out playing like it. Jax certainly seems to be one of the team leaders so hopefully they adopt his attitude.

It's been so great to see what this team has done this season with so much adversity that is completely out of their control.

No noncon? No conference tournament? Only a handful of home games? Missing a game against NW due to COVID? A bunch of doubleheaders due to bad weather?

They never let any of it phase them. They followed Bolt's lead and went to work letting it all flow off their backs like water. And they won 31 games anyway.

Not saying we'll win nor should anybody expect us to, but this team at least has the right temperament and approach to be successful. Which is pretty special, because no one since TO has been able to figure that out consistently in any of the major men's sports at Nebraska (John Cook, of course, is our women's sports GOAT!)

This Arkansas team is a freight train. They’ve got about 11 dudes that can rake, they are exceptional on defense, they have an unhitable closer that can go 3+ Inn multiple games in a weekend.

BUT

Never forget(and I bet you won’t) this is a school that had a pop up to win a natty and let it fall between 3 dudes. Choking is in our DNA and it would be a very Arkansas thing to do to hammer everybody in the best conference in the country, and then get put out in a regional. Nebraska scares me.

if you get the chance to come down to Fayetteville you should. Other than the usual marrying our sister, making drugs and/or hooch in our bathtubs, not wearing shoes, it’s a pretty underrated college town and not a bad drive from Lincoln I bet.

Ok, I saw this somewhere but don’t remember where.

But, shouldn’t Arkansas be passed about this too?  They are the #1 seed and should have an easier opponent in regionals.

Yeah we both got screwed. The NCAA does what they always do - operate out of selfish self-interest - and as is always the case, the players got screwed.

Remember that time in 2002 where Nebraska hosted a regional and got Marist, Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Southwest Missouri State? And Nebraska wasn't even a top 8 seed that year  :laughpound  Nebraska swept, outscored all of them by a combined 30-6, absolutely the easiest freaking regional in the history of regionals. The NCAA works in mysterious ways.

That’s the Big Ten’s fault for not allowing non-conference games. You know the NCAA is going to have a bias against Big Ten teams, so the way to overcome that bias is through non-conference games.

Oddly it seems like the NCAA gave Michigan a huge benefit of the doubt getting in with maybe the lowest at large RPI ever. The bias on them being the reigning runner up obviously helped the conference get an extra bid they probably shouldn't have.

Yeah that was a weird year, NU played Richmond in the supers.  Southwest Missouri got revenge the next year or in 2004 if memory serves.
