I've used that stat a few times on ND fans.  Wish I would have known it in 95-96 when in 7th/8th grade and all my teachers were huge ND fans.

I think that's good.  I think it means everyone is happy that college football is back, with butts in the seats, and the excitement is pumping through their veins.  It's a season opener, and we are going to crush them!
