** 2021 Opponent Previews : Oklahoma (Game 4) **

They beat an undersized FCS team that has gone 7-27 (0-2, '21; 1-8, '20; 3-9, '19; and 3-8, '18) over the past 4 seasons. Not saying we'll win, but really should take nothing from this game.

I think our defense will keep us in the game the question is CAN they do it for 4 quarters? This is a game where I think OU is really going to test Martinez. They will use Cover 0, Cover 1, Cover 2 and press coverage. They will dare him to make throws into tight coverage.

No turnovers, no dumb penalties, and if we somehow can click on special teams and get a returner and our kicker is on point, we have a punchers chance. We could win 24-21.

The realist in me sees us getting beat by 17-24 points, 38-17 or 45-21.

The game will come down to wether the offensive line can run and pass block. The defense is good enough to keep it close as long as they don't spend all day on the field due to constant 3 and outs by the offense

If Martin, Manning , Voklek and Allen are all out this week Oklahoma will load the box and play man. If that happens we won’t be able to run the ball and put to much on Martinez.

They're gonna do that anyway.  With our OL being leaky they'll have Martinez running for his life regardless.  Put a spy on him for contain and you've got us solved.

They might do it even if all healthy but it guarantee with them out and I forgot about Betts.

Yup they are going to play up tight in the secondary all day (throwing in man to zone drops)..and have their front 4-5 just handle us up front...we need to have a slew of crosses (shallow), challenge them with Toure intermediate to long, some RB screens at the right time..to get them to stretch a little on D...if we can't do that, we are in very serious trouble

I really don't understand why they dont call any of these.  You have an athletic Qb and a bad OL.  Screens should be huge.

I have fears of the OU game where they were up 28-0 by early 2nd quarter or something like that...just remember that game before I was even able to get settled in to watch before it went to poo

I'm taking Nebraska and the points for a small(ish) bet.  Our defense is capable of holding OU as long as we aren't giving them really short fields.  I like our chances of keeping this one close enough to win with the points.
