2022-23 Schedule Notes

Sounds like we will return the favor by playing an exhibition game at Colorado.  

Maine and Omaha expected to be in Lincoln to open the regular season.

Plus a game against Kansas State in Kansas City on December 17.

I like the UNO matchup for local flavor but I really really wish we would play some “cupcake” games that aren’t going to nuke our metrics like Maine will.

South Dakota, South Dakota State, North Dakota State, Montana State, some of the higher end WCC teams like San Francisco and some of the higher end A10 teams like St Louis or Davidson would be awesome 

 
Creighton will not be counted as part of the Gavitt games this year so the Huskers will have another Big East opponent on the schedule.

 
Two more buy game opponents locked in- Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Queens (NC).

Queens is located in Charlotte and is moving from D2 to D1 this year. The Royals have long been one of the top teams in D2, going 30-4 last year and making it to the third round of the D2 tournament. 

 
Should be all the games.  Twenty B1G games, 3 in the ESPN tournament at Thanksgiving, 1 Gavitt Games, 1 ACC/B1G Challenge, Creighton, K-State, Maine, UNO, Arkansas - Pine Bluff & Queens makes 31.  There will be a "charity exhibition" at Colorado and another exhibition game - probably against a state school.

Now we just need a lot of dates/times.
