2022

Perry- Christo- Shanaman would be an awesome starting 3 however don't believe everything youre hearing about Christo. Posturing to go to play college ball is the negotiating tactic of most high round high school draftees. That ploy can bring MUCH more in initial contract money.

Look no further than Bubba Starling. I hope Christo ends up here, but round 1-2 money would be difficult for almost anyone, including those with deep roots from staying here. Starlings charade went to the extreme point he actually practiced with theHuskers.    https://www.kansas.com/sports/mlb/kansas-city-royals/article1068340.html

I like our relievers next year and getting mid week games again finally (If Kevin Warren somehow doesnt screw that up again) will help kids like CJ Hood be ready for the post season tourneys.
Exactly. I think anything over a million will have us attention. Sounds like a situation where he wants to go to Nebraska and they'll have to make it worth his while to get him to turn him down Nebraska.  If he is available after round 3 I think we have him.

For him, money isn't as high a priority as it normally might be, Monte has done pretty well for himself. Indications are that Drew really wants to play for NU and it will take a large incentive to change his mind, probably higher than the slotting value he would be offered. This could all be posturing, but it sure seems like Drew is leaning towards playing for the Huskers.

FWIW if Christo isn't drafted top 100, I feel good about him to Nebraska. Sounds like 1st/Early 2nd round money will be needed to keep him from Nebraska - and that number rarely gets hit outside of the top 50 and unheard of outside the top 100.

Now in the 6th and Christo and Mason still on the board. Christo is almost a lock to be in Lincoln next year. If Mason still on the board after the 8th, I'd have to think he will be in Lincoln as well.

Christo announces on Twitter he'll be here.

We're into round 14 on the draft and still no Mason pick. I would say it is safe to assume he is N.
