** 2023 Opponent Preview : Iowa (Game 12) **

It's not just us, or even primarily us, that dubs ourselves the greatest fans. Opposing coaches and players and administrators as well as media types claim it far often than our fanbase as individual people do.

 
Well, the Hawkeyes are 3-0 and still look horrible on offense. Defense does not look as good as the last couple of years either. They did hang 41 on the board, but certainly did not look like it on the field. With that said, they ARE 3-0.

This puts Brian at a 28.33 point average. I do not think that will be enough getting into some tougher conference play.

I'd kill for us to average 28 this year.

**Penn State scored just two more points than Iowa had offensive plays (31 to 33)

**Penn State had more rushing attempts (57) than Iowa had passing yards (56)

**Iowa’s total rushing yards (20) were nearly matched on one rush by Penn State running back Nicholas Singleton (19 yard long)

**Iowa had six total fumbles (four lost)

**Penn State QB Drew Allar nearly had as many passing attempts (37) as Iowa QB Cade McNamara had passing yards

**Iowa posted a total of 20 rushing yards on 17 attempts (0.8 yards per attempt)
