2024 Election Prediction Thread

Of course.   Because a majority of them were not stupidest enough to believe Democracy was actually at stake.   That was an absolutely gigantic mistake by Kamala to campaign on
It's possible that message was lost, but honestly, I don't know if there's much we can learn from the tactical errors of the Harris campaign other than "don't be a member of the political party in power during a time of inflation."

The upside for Dems is that Harris was a mediocre candidate, and her political career ending isn't that bad. It would've been a bigger punch had they nominated Josh Shapiro only for him to inevitably get pummeled.

They called in their C-list candidate late in a ball game which was already over before they realized it. Their A-list candidate can be nominated next time.

Much like how DeSantis used his political opportunity to run in the primary, candidates have a narrow window to strike and be successful. Because of his tactical error, that torch has now been given to JD Vance.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Voters didn't punish him for his rape conviction.

Voters didn't punish him for stealing classified documents.

Voters didn't punish him for cozying up to dictators.

Voters didn't punish him for January 6.

Voters appear to think none of that matters. They appear to be enthralled with the culture war the Republicans have dumped into the political arena.

1. He wasn't convicted of rape. He was found liable for defamation.

2. Other politicians have taken classified documents home as well (Biden, HRC), so the outrage was never going to materialize against him.

What?

Jury finds Trump liable for sexual abuse

He then defamed her and was ordered to pay $83 million in damages.

Orange Man Bad took classified documents. Other politicians did, too. The difference with Orange Man Bad was, he retained those documents when ordered to return them. He shared them with people at parties. And good people are perfectly fine with any politician who illegally retains classified documents being punished. There are, clearly, Americans who think that's no big deal. Those Americans voted for Orange Man Bad.

That's still not a rape conviction.

And they decided to do so apparently because stuff is expensive...even though stuff is expensive everywhere in the world and wages have outpaced inflation. It's pretty ridiculous to me that inflation was the main issue when the Biden administration did well compared to the rest of the world in the economic sector. Imminent inflation caused by runaway spending by a previous administration followed by a global pandemic was never Bidens fault and he did a pretty damn good job cleaning that mess up.

How does (or how will)  Vance poll later on?  In your opinion, will he have the same pull that trump has had?
