** 2024 Opponent Preview : Colorado (Game 2) **

Yep….so you have three guys committed to that and eight guys committed to the pass.
Sure, but 3 faster DE's instead of two guys that will have a hard time ever catching SS seems like a better move.

3-2-6 is pretty much what you want to run and if CU wants to try to run the ball all game, let them.

I have been shopping for weeks.   My son is flying home from Florida to go to the game.   He hasn't been to a game in years but wanted to be there for this one.   Plenty for sale but man are they expensive.  Going to bite the bullet Thursday if I don't find anything reasonable.

Yep in the same boat.  The fees are a killer.

Someone may have already brought this up, but one reason this game is so important for the trajectory of this program is the potential national hype train with a convincing win.

Colorado isn’t necessarily a great team, but they bring viewership and national punditry at this time.   Nebraska is already starting to get some run with the national media as a program that is on the rise or “on their way back” as some are saying.

Recruits notice which way the winds are blowing with a program and which programs are on an ascent.  A good showing against CU gets more ESPN coverage, etc…. This could also springboard the teams confidence going into tough conference play and as we all know, the more confidence a team plays with the looser they play and the game tends to slow down which allows them to play up to their ability.   I could definitely see a 7-0 or very much a 6-1 start after beating CU.  If Dylan continues to play real well, recruits will follow knowing they have at least 2 more years to play with him.

This game is going to have a ton of high profile recruits.  Saw it in the recruiting thread last week, a ton of Husker recruits have made plans to visit Nebraska this weekend.    chuckleshuffle   Even some recruits that have announced their commitment to other schools are coming up for this weekend.

I would say this is the most important reason to put on a good showing - and win - this weekend.  We have several high-profile recruits who are considering Nebraska but we're not #1 on their list.  A good showing here would go a long ways toward showing them we're back in the national discussion.  If we don't get this one, we don't have much of a chance to show that until towards the end of the season.

It’s certainly has the chance to be a perception changing game for this program.

Key to the game - the D for sure.   I think our O will do fine against their D.   Our D needs to keep their explosive O wrapped up.

Exactly….this would be a big win that everyone would be talking about. That’s even if CU doesn’t win another game all year.

These are the games that we have crapped the bed in the last 10 years. Win this, and do it decisively, and people will notice.

I would expect us to slip into the top 25.

People still talk about Colorado's win last year over TCU and TCU ended up at 5-7 :D

Just checking if anyone is aware of 2 tickets coming for sale.  I am still looking at stubhub and seat geek but wanted to check here first.
I just picked up 2 tickets.  If you are willing to pay, some good ones went up for sale in the last 30 minutes.  One pair still on Seat Geek is section 21, row 15 for $327 (fees included).  Pricey but cheaper than most others and really good seats.
