No. This is just college basketball now. 
 

for the last probably 5 or so years, I don’t pay much attention to the roster till practice in the fall is about to start. 
 

Sure, there’s guys I’d love to stick around and build on. But, you never know who is going to be here.

All for the best, imo.  The time is now for Hoib's to try to take this team from a team that was celebrated for making the dance for the first time in a decade to one that can actually make the dance consistently and even a short run here and there.

Players like Wilcher won't get you there. There is zero special about that guy.  His ceiling is too low to even be a floor guy for a contender.

Whether or not Hoiberg can bring in better remains to be seen, but staying pat with players you know aren't at the level you want your program to be at isn't the move, either.

 


He's also entering the NBA draft (and I was surprised to see him as a 2nd round to undrafted projection).  But he is gonna get paid if he stays in college.

I see him as a 6 man.  We need a pt guard & I don't see him replacing Williams or Gary in the starting lineup.  He is 1 yr guy, so probably won't come to Nebraska.
