*** 2024 Recruiting ***

Not trying to call you out on this but I've been waiting for Tweets like this to show up.  It's a zero sum game so it's interesting to see what people like to throw out there.  A lot of the reason we didn't get many Texas commits during the timeframe listed is because we were getting a ton of guy from Georgia and Florida, which are also two talent-rich states (which you know).  Now we are getting no guys from Georgia and fewer from Florida.

So it doesn't much matter to me where they come from.  Unless they're coming from Nebraska (or near around) because I think it would be overall better to be able to get more guys locally.

But I'd like the best players and I don't really care where they come from.
I agree.

I sort of disagree, I think the class is going to end up sort of where Nebraska has finished over the last several years, around ~25th. Hopefully they finish the class strong by landing players like Brix and Okoye. The potential to land 7 consensus 4* players is there, and if they manage to do that I think that would make a successful recruiting class.

The real benefit is that the class will be almost complete by the start of the season or shortly thereafter. I wonder if this will be a Matt Rhule trend or if this is them trying to get a jump start on future years.

So we are at like 22 recruits right now. It’s seem like we are trending with a handful more. Are we taking like 30 kids?

it seems like we are way ahead of normal for commits at this time of year.

25 seems to be the number I have heard. Brix or another OT, & maybe two best available. I’m calling Brix, edge player, & Campbell, maybe 26 w/someone like Benning

I don’t think Rhule has had a single class within the top 25 at his prior stops. Anxious to see what he can do with several top 10-15 classes. If he can develop as well as advertised, he could be the savior of Nebraska football.
I don’t think this class ends up top 25. Not complaining though. He’s a proven coach with a plan.

We are already very close to our total from last years class in the 247 composite scoring and ended up 25 last year. Adding Brix would already put us above last years total team score. I don't see how we don't stay top 25 unless things fall apart.

If we get Brix and Campbell then I could see us be a top 20 team.  All I care about is us being better then Minnesota which at one time they had a class better then us.
