2024 Season Notes

Y'all are right.. Hopefully you'll be elated when McConaughey has to throw 40 pitches in an inning today and won't blame the ump because well... Umps are always good and pitchers need to adjust. Brecht overmatched that ump and anyone arguing most assuredly did not watch a single pitch in the game. I'm a Husker fan and by default anti-Iowa but watching that first inning had me on fire. It was PATHETIC!!

Hopefully Nebraska starters don't suffer the same this weekend and even more so, hopefully Wayne Harris isn't in the B1G tourney. No, hell no... I want Sears to pitch to Harris's zone. I hope it happens. Sadly though I know it won't because Harris is such a liability at the plate.

It would help your credibility if you weren't always insisting that the only possible scenarios are the two at either extreme end of the spectrum.

So, you're admitting, you don't want to see a Husker pitcher have to throw 40 pitches to get out of an inning. Especially because unlike Brecht who gave up only 1 run, our guys, that don't have Brecht's talent, would most certainly give up more.

You know, before today I really wanted to.  I like to see our guys throw as much as possible.  Why would I want to watch the games if not to see us play the maximum amount?

But you've caused me to rethink my whole outlook.

This isn’t what I said AT ALL. You are making an argument that isn’t there. No one here wants the Huskers to get a bad strike zone, why you would even go there is beyond me.I love your passion, but you have to slow your roll a bit and stop taking other view points so personal.

I am not doubting what you saw on tv, I flat out said as much in my last post, I am simply disagreeing with your take that the number of pitches thrown in the FIU-I@wa game showed that the umpire in that game was trash, which frankly it doesn’t show that. If you saw a badly umpired game with your own eyes, I won’t dispute that, you simply misapplied what the game box score indicates at face value.

idk if you know this but your posts don't have to only be incredibly overreactionary to everything all the time. That's not a board rule or anything.

Back to guessing the rotation for the tournament. I have thought for over the past few weeks that Sears will not start game one. I had heard rumblings that they won’t bring him back on consecutive short weeks, this time on 4 days rest. I am sticking to that. But based on MM throwing Friday and lack of success by a number of guys yesterday, my guess might be Clark
