2024 Transfer Portal Ins/Outs

This is the way IMHO.  Look at guys in the G5 and the FCS level that have gotten conference recognition or starters.......They've proven themselves over a 4*-5* guys who is buried on the depth chart.....But that's just me.  Folks need to watch the FCS playoffs.  Lower level, but those dudes are disciplined, driven and can play.

Yes I think those kids are gonna work hard because they havnt been pampered like the 4-5 stars. Then snag ones who are proven competitors and performers and hopefully in a winning program as well.

Now for sure pick up some elite kids here and there if you can. The 5 star DE with 4 years left is worth it imo. He redshirted and was top 10 recruit. If we can get some elite kids like Trey Palmer was etc

Bummer.  I am hoping we start getting more good news from the portal.  Seems we have lost way more talent than we have added thus far.
We have lost some contributors, but the production as a whole is replaceable. We lost way more talent to graduation than we have to the portal so far. The upperclassmen in the portal were mostly contributors at best and none appeared set for an all-conference type of future. The only two underclassmen that might turn into stud players are Coleman & Princewill. Both of whom appeared to regress (Coleman off the field) compared to their true freshmen campaigns.

Potential 2025 All-Big Ten players: None

Proven contributors: Gbayor, Butler, Williams,  & Dowdell

Promising, but limited production: Coleman & Princewill

As for who we are bringing in, so far we have added two specialists and two defensive linemen, one of whom was rated as a top ten national recruit just a year ago. Mix in some highly regarded recruits that recently signed and we've got a pretty good looking group of players that should have a shot to contribute early on.

Yeah I am hoping for some more good news too. Maybe we will get some of that soon!

I just feel Nebraska has to beef up the D-Line to get some big body d tackles to eat up space bc rn we really don't have any.  Nash and Robinson were a huge reason why our run defense was good.
