2025 NFL Draft

While the digs taken at him are funny, it is also kind of sad to see.

Maybe I am just getting nicer as I get older (and fatter and less handsome) but I could not imagine getting piled on like what is happening to him.

The schadenfreude is fun, but ultimately the best case hope is that for the first time in his life he was rejected and told no and not protected and propped up by his dad's ego, and it will be a humbling experience he can learn and grow from. Which is why, the healthiest thing for him would be to not be drafted at all.

Yeah, the digs were kind of funny in the first round, but the longer this goes on the worst I do begin to feel. I don't want to see the kid fail.

At the same time, they 100% brought this piling on to themselves, so my sympathy is infinitesimal. Deion didn't have to go on talk shows bragging about how he "wouldn't let his kid play for certain programs" and framing the narrative as if what can NFL teams do for Shadeur and not what can Shadeur do for the NFL. He didn't have to skip all the post-season bowls and workouts and combine stuff, acting like it was beneath him. And he also didn't need his dad running his mouth on social media for two years calling his ton a top 5 pick.

The Sanders' treated Shadeur like he was Joe Burrow, and he isn't.

Kid would've been a lot better off playing for a coach that didn't coddle him so much. He's (hopefully) learning lessons now that he should've learned years ago.

teams don't want to draft a circus clown.    sanders and his dad are a 3 ring circus of distractions.    the browns got him at the right time to take a chance on him but the costs aren't to great to dump him if need be.

What a wonderful day it is to see this arrogant and overrated prick go to the Browns in the late rounds. He is the poster child for "Dude, what happened to college football?" He isn't the first, and won't be the last clown that annoys us. The Browns always seem to come to mind and forefront in situations like this. Johnny Football was thrown to the wolves and destroyed with all the talent in the world, fitting. So glad huskerboard lets me write out my negative thoughts on this boring Saturday.

WOOPWOOP TY ROBINSON! GBR!

Eff that, I love to see him fail for all the reasons you just listed. He's a prick, his dad's a douche, and the family is a clown show. He's not some generational talent, he's slightly better than 2AM. He can't read defenses, constantly takes unnecessary sacks, and is a terrible teammate. Guys like Ocho Cinco, Terrell Owens, or College Johnny Manziel; I can think they're douches but I can sure as hell respect their talent and effort. Sanders doesn't have any of that. He's everything that's wrong with society and douchey superstars, but with none of the superstar talent.
