2nd year player who will breakthrough

I think Noa Pola-Gates has the potential to breakout in the secondary. There is a fair amount of depth and experience there, but he just seems like a kid with the work ethic and talent to explore there. I agree with Robinson on the DL too. Seems like a LB could be a breakout candidate maybe Heinrich or Hannah.

I have high hopes for NPG.

But the part where he's been conspicuously absent from much of the coach-talk makes me nervous.

I've got an unfortunate suspicion that he might be the next Avery Anderson.
Let's not forget he had what sounded like pretty serious leg surgery back in November.  There's probably a pretty good chance he's still not back to full speed or hasn't been for very long

As for the topic at hand...really excited for Benhart and Robinson

I thought his name was coming up more and he was picking up special teams reps before his injury in November. He was still recovering in spring so I am guessing that's why we haven't heard in a long time. Could be wrong, but I think he has the work ethic.

What is the defintion of being a “breakthrough” player?

Some people like chocolate and others like vanilla.    For me, it would be a key play like forcing a turnover, making a key stop to force a punting situation, etc.

Offense,  make a play to keep the chains moving, so on and so forth.
