WTH? Goes from a DE to an ILB??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Collin Miller had been slated at ILB but a toe injury may make him miss spring practices.
He's listed at 6-3, 230.Gifford also seems like a really small OLB. Maybe he has put on some good weight though?
At 6'3", 235 (from the Huskers.com roster) he may be too small to grow into a 3-4 DE, and not have the versatility to be an OLB. He was listed as an OLB during his high school recruitment. I think a move to ILB could be good for him.WTH? Where else could he go? Not big enough to play inside.Gifford also seems like a really small OLB. Maybe he has put on some good weight though?
Away? Ha jk, but seriously.Where else could he go? Not big enough to play inside.Gifford also seems like a really small OLB. Maybe he has put on some good weight though?
I'm reading that our D will have field/boundary designations for every position but NT, where the boundary are bigger guys and the field are faster guys. So field OLB are Newby, Gifford, Quayshon, and boundary OLB are Davis, King, Stille. He's listed at 6-3, 230.Gifford also seems like a really small OLB. Maybe he has put on some good weight though?
Newby is listed at 6-1, 235
Alexander at 6-3, 235
Davis at 6-5, 255
King at 6-4, 250
Stille at 6-5, 240
Alex Davis, come on down!We desperately need one (or more!) of these OLBs to develop into an outstanding pass rusher.
