3rd and long

This is killing our defense and hurting our offense. It hurts our offense cuase it gives them less chances to get on the field and score. It our defense for them to be on the field that long we were lucky this game but if defense cant off the field with some of the teams that we have to play in the next comming weeks it could very well be a diffrent circumstance. We need more 3-N-OUTS!!

It is paramount that we get that corrected like you said before the next few games. We are going up against very capable offenses that will eventually wear our defense out and score at will. Hopefully we can get some guys healed up on D and correct what seems to be a real problem for us. 3rd and Long

Agree, ISU had a ridiculous number of 1st downs with many coming on 3rd & long. Cosgrove had another bad game, but at least the guys made plays when they had to.

i am afraid you are correct here. coz hasn't fixed anything yet. the kids just played hard.

 
I don't know, we held them to 9 for 22 on third down...that's actually pretty good...most of the first downs they picked up were on 1st or 2nd down.
