You should be alone or not have the opinion. Sorry. Grown ups who talk that way shouldn't be talking that way. The "most people" who've talked that way need to take a look at themselves unless they were young at the time. I don't care if it's 90%. Trump was 60 and married.Am I alone here in thinking that conversation wasn't that big of a deal? Most of us have probably said equally grotesque things behind closed doors. Just because you say something in a one on one bro talk situation doesn't necessarily mean you condone it in real life.
I think he can be judged just fine by what he's said in public, and how he responded to the leak by saying "he did it first!" The leak really does nothing for me.
This piece from the New York Times is also poignant:Framing this as lewd, even extremely so, is a reminder of the frequent reluctance to name sexual assault. Explicit conversations are a different thing, a part of life central to mature sexuality. If Trump, Clinton, or any other candidate or human hadn’t had explicit, graphic, lewd conversations, that would be concerning. Trump’s comments are something else.
So, yes, I don't think most people talk that way. There's lewd sex talk, and there's bragging about sexual assault. It's important to draw the distinction; this is the latter. One man's boasting about using his social capital to indulge in assault, and another one's cheering him on. At least the other one seems to have ended up deeply ashamed about it.Every woman knows a version of Donald Trump. Most of us have known more of them than we can (or care to) recall.

I don't know if you're speaking at me or in general, but you can read my follow up post if it's the former and then tell me what opinion I'm supposed to have. You should be alone or not have the opinion. This isn't like telling your guy friend "man she is hot." You might be seeing her as an object in your head but that phrase isn't going as far as to saying it out loud. More importantly, are you running for president?
To the bolded, I've already explained in the post you're quoting. I was speaking to you and to everyone else who thinks it's not a big deal and either say something like "everyone does it" or it's not a big deal because "everyone does it." Both of those are incorrect.I don't know if you're speaking at me or in general, but you can read my follow up post if it's the former and then tell me what opinion I'm supposed to have. You should be alone or not have the opinion.
