A/V Organization

I know that Eric or Chad a while back created some sub-forums for the A/V forum and attempted to reorganize it a little. Just to run it by you guys, what do you think about adding a 'Computer/Games/Technology' sub-forum? I think if we had something close to that, all the topics could be put into one of the three sub-forums. Or, we could have a sub-forum for each type (ie. Audio, Photo, Video, Computer) I would be more than happy to move the topics accordingly.

I like the idea of a sub-form in the A/V section for Computer/Games/Technology.

I don't think we get enough posting of those three that we need to break it out further, but I do like that idea.

If everyone agrees, I can get the subforum set up.

I agree, I was just looking through the main forum trying to categorize each topic, and I think this addition would cover all/most of the bases.

Well Frank I have moved everything it the forum into the correct subforums. I don't know what you want to do with the main forum, but I pinned an short explanation of what we were doing and why. Is there anyway to lock the main forum?

Well, I think I've locked it. What I've done is to deny posting, replying or uploading to the main forum. What I don't know, is what that does to the sub-forums. It appears that the sub-forums don't inherit the permissions on the main forum, so everyone should be able to post, reply, and upload to the sub-forums.

If any of the Mods or Admins have a "normal" account, you might try logging in to it and seeing if you can post a reply to Elliot's post about the changes to the forum. Then, post a test post or reply to any of the posts in any of the sub-forums to be sure those are still "accessible".

'Course, if I've screwed up, we should hear about it...
