Ad window at bottom of screen

The ad window that recently was added is annoying how it comes and goes. I fully understand the need for advertising to pay for this site and fully support having advertisements to keep it free.

However, the way this one works is annoying.

PS....when I went to post this post, the window almost covers up the "post new topic" button.

 
I'd be willing to make a contribution to get it off my screen. Would be one thing if it was news or pertinent ads, but it's National Enquirer sort of stuff.

 
I saw a big animal penis on mine.

It's the most annoying ad I've ever seen on a website. Can't we have them down the side of the screen or something?

To clarify - that wasn't an opinion, it was the ad I was seeing (but I agree with you)

However, now its telling me "Beyonce's feet are the ugliest thing you'll see all day."

Makes me wonder what I googled that they're pushing lady feet at me. Or, do they assume that all you fellas here on HB are into feet?

 
I'm sorry about the ads, guys. Will pass the feedback. I know we're always looking for ways to offset server costs here at HB, but serving up the worst of the internet ... I mean, I think it'll at least be a trial run and see how the numbers are. It's a little depressing to me that this has kind of become the direction of internet advertising. It's everywhere. Did you guys know that two MIT Boston grads are shaking up the automobile industry?

 
I didn't know that Zoogs, because I got sucked into "No One Can Look Away from These Freaky Celebrity Photos".
