Akron may not get their money

The Cleveland.com article seems to be designed to whip up the locals. Teams don’t “leave with a check”. I think upthread somewhere it was mentioned that they don’t actually have to pay them until next March. I think both A.D.s are doing a little grandstanding & this all will be quietly settled after the fan bases have moved on to other things.

Yep, like most legal threats and bluster, it has now become a negotiation, the PR on both sides is for show and leverage, the payout will not be whole but there will be some sort of $$ going to the Zips

I mean.  This is just.

Just lock this thread and this discussion up.  It's only going to get worse

I WOULD BE OK WITH OUR PLAYERS SLEEPING IN THE OPEN ON ROCKY TERRAIN BEFORE EVERY ROAD GAME TO TOUGHEN THEM UP - next comment

Remember when coaches used to deny players water in practice because it made them weak?  That's the mentality we're dealing with.

Yup. God forbid players these days aren't able to charge their phones or tablets on the road or worse, there's no WiFi availability. The horror. These are the things that affect athletes these days.
