Think his roommate was accused, not Steele. I'm sure the coaches do a character check before reaching out to any potential transfers in any case, but I'd be surprised if he had any interest here. Interestingly one of his recruiters to Florida was Charlton Warren.

Yeah it was his roommate and he wanted out of the dorm and not associated with it and they told him he had to wait.

His roommate (and fellow UF freshman) was accused of sexual assault in their dorm.  Steele asked to move dorms and I guess they told him he had to wait until summer to move.  So he said "see ya".

Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

His high school coach is now at Maryland...that’s where he’s going...yet there was “no contact before he entered the portal.”
