And we complain about Bo!!!

was the only one worried about bo's finger in the 'taylor poking incident'? i mean bo was poking him right in the chest pads. if anyone was going to get hurt or injured by it, it was bo. i bet he felt that on in the morning.
Besides that, it was one poke, not repeated lol. He actually missed the pads, and could have actually gotten Taylor right in the chest. Either way, in today's society, its abuse. That is why kids are the way they are. Had that have happened in the 90's, we wouldn't even have remember that.

Interesting opposing opinion http://www.cnn.com/2...html?hpt=hp_bn7 from a woman.
I don't even want to read it, after the title. The firing was completely warranted. Any article disagreeing isn't even worth the reading. You don't shove players the way he did, and some of the regions the ball was thrown, was not right. I am fine with throwing the ball at the kids feet, but anything higher than the feet is simply abuse. The shoving and pulling is way over done. I am surprised Rutgers didn't fire him from the beginning. If I was one of the parents of those kids, I wouldn't be happy. I would be demanding an apology. I am all for discipline, but there is a line to be drawn. He crossed that line on more than 1.2.3.5.. 15 occasions. To remind you, this is only what was caught on tape.

I'm not disagreeing but this caught my attention:

"Yes he went overboard. But you can't get a good feeling for what went down by seeing highlights on ESPN. No one was scared of Coach Rice. We didn't fear him. We just understood him," Mike Coburn, who played for Rice from 2010-11, told New Jersey's Star Ledger.

Bo's toughness (or what some might call abusiveness, which I disagree with) would be much more tolerated and accepted if he had one or two conference championships under his belt, and his demeanor totally ignored if he had a national championship.......case-in-point Bobby Knight, who made Mike Rice look like Mother Theresa with his behavior, and got away with it because Bobby Knight WON and Mike Rice did not. http://www2.indystar.com/library/factfiles/people/k/knight_bob/knight.html

Or Nick Saban slapping his players on the back during a rage out ...

17 seconds of yelling and then hitting him.

Much worse than Bo and Taylor or Bo and Stafford.

Ba-ching.

yesterday, SVP and Rusillo were speculating on the reaction there would be if tape of this kind of thing surfaced Coach K or Nick Saban. On the Saban part they said...

"If this happened at Bama to Saban, do you think Saban would get fired? No, they would just say 'whatever' giggles 'we'll see you in the BCS championship game' ". More laughing.

That's the difference in perspective.

Go back to Solich's firing and the dead horse that is and all the speculation about issues in his personal life that supposedly were the real reason for his firing. If he goes 12-2 in 2002 and 14-0 or 13-1 in 2003, do you really think he gets fired for supposed personal reasons?

This is just a dirty fact of life.

Under Pedersen? No. Under Tom? Maybe...

It is a dirty fact of life, but it's one that we, at Nebraska, don't really have to experience as much. And for that I'm thankful.

He either looks lost, or he's literally losing his mind the entire time.

I watched the Saban video... and I think Bo's demeanor gets more attention because he's much more funny-looking when he's angry.
