Another idea for a contest.

Sort of like this?

So, you think you're the World's Greatest Husker fan? You' say you've spent hundreds of years and millions of dollars creating the perfect "Husker Room" in your basement or rec room? Well, PROVE IT!

HuskerBoard.com, the Heartbeat of Husker Nation, is sponsoring a free contest to let you strut your stuff - and show the world that your "Husker Room" proves once and for all that you are the greatest Husker fan in the world!

Submit your video of your Husker Room to YouTube, and then post a link to the designated area on HuskerBoard.com. Once all the submissions are in, a winner will be determined and that lucky soul will win a $100 gift certificate to HuskerNation.com - the web's premier site for Husker gear and goodies. Be as creative as you want - give us the history of the items, show us "before" and "after" shots of the room, you name it!

You have nothing to lose - there's no entry fee, membership to HuskerBoard.com is free, and no purchase is necessary. So what are you waiting for? Pull out that video camera and make a masterpiece!

Visit HuskerBoard.com for additional details.

Okay, here's what we'll do. I'm going to wait another week or two and hopefully by that time the damn website will be up and running.

I'm going to paste this in the main forum and ask for some feedback from members about the contest.

You know guys, the only fear I have with this contest is everyone things it's a great idea and then we get 1 or 2 entries. That would be pretty freakin cheesy.

But is the advertisement on Youtube we place for the contest already make this contest a winner? That will no doubt bring over users.

I'm not feeling this contest anymore.

How about something much simpler

How about a contest where someone takes a picture of their favorite piece of memorabilia and tells the story behind it. I think I saw some other site or magazine or something do this.

Heck, why not both? For those that have the "Husker Man Cave" and can create the vids, this could give them a chance to create something nice and sort of advertise HuskerBoard at the same time through the YouTube postings.

For everyone else, do the memorabilia contest.

Okay, that's a possibility
