This is true. However, remember Gerry Dinardo's comments when Riley took over? He said the difference in how NU practiced and the rest of the conference was alarming.

It also goes hand-in-hand with Banker's comments after the Iowa loss last year that "their practices must be very".

Not from S&B but apparently Moos commented that he was surprised at how many of our guys had to be helped off the field against Purdue but then were back in the game rather quickly.  Obviously not Farmer and Decker who have legit serious injuries but guys who were "hurt" enough to need on-field attention but apparently recovered quickly enough to get back in.  

Supposedly Davison also commented on this on the radio.

You should listen to the latest husker doc talk.  Rob Zatechka talks about this in pretty good detail.  Says he hears from people that we do not do any hitting in practice and when we get into games, our players ligaments and tendons are not used to the stress of being hit by another human being.  He said when you hit and are physical in practice your ligaments and tendons stretch, so when you get into the game, you wont have those types of injuries occur.  Basically he said not hitting in practice is causing this.
