IMO.....PS3 will have a lot more to offer in the long run. I have been a playstation fan since Middle School!

I've had the PS1 and PS2 so I am a playstation fan as well just have heard good things about the 360 so though I might like to try it, but I'm still 70% PS3 30% 360. ;)

IMO.....PS3 will have a lot more to offer in the long run. I have been a playstation fan since Middle School!

Playstation 3 has not been doing to well. They've been know to fry itself from the blay ray system. 360 is half the money and has great games.

 
yeah, I have yet to see a game on PS3 that has made me want to buy it. I'm a first person shooter fan though...and I feel like role playing and sports games are the big draws of PS3.

PS3 definitely hasn't been able to keep up with the 360 though...particularly in graphics, I think. I also think what they set the frame rate of the PS3 at was causing some concerns for hard core gamers.

I heard a complaint from one of the guys at work about the frame rate??? 360 just gained 10 to 15%. <_<

yeah, it's mostly a complaint coming from the gamers who like the sports genre...particularly Madden '08 which runs at 60fps for the 360 and 30fps for the PS3. Of course on a standard def TV are you going to be able to tell the difference? Probably not. And you probably won't be able to even on an HDTV unless you place the 360 and PS3 side by side for a comparison.

I will say, however, that there is a rather big concern about the 360 and it's power supply/fan issues. I don't know how later versions are running right now, but mine and several others get hot...fast. Not only that but the drives are incredibly loud. My computer here and at work run quieter. I don't know how in the world that slipped past the guys at Microsoft. Apparently MS just offered an extension of warranty because of so many problems with the units over heating or something?
