You shouldn’t win with the turnovers and horrid offense we have.
It’s a combination. Our defense is good and our opponents are terrible.
Things are going in the right direction. This is a winless squad under Frost & Riley.

Both but Neb is definitely improving. The B1G has done a good job of marketing itself as this “tough” and “gritty” league. Which to a degree is true. But it’s also a lot of very, very, very bad football.

. But we have not played the teams that are typically good yet. The West teams that are worse than usual are Wisconsin and MSU. When we started playing in the Big Ten, IIRC Purdue, Minnesota, and NW were all mediocre or sucked. And we've been finding ways to lose to them for years now.

It's actually pretty balanced and most teams are only tiny favorites or dogs. You lost a lot of close games last year and new it is evening out.

I've always thought it was subpar, that's been the frustrating part of watching this teams ineptitude. Granted, the division is somehow always tougher than it appears to be at the beginning of the season.

It isn't a matter of fate, Karma or anything similar. It is a matter of good coaching vs bad coaching plain and simple. We lost a lot of close games because of coaching primarily. We have many of the same players but are getting a different outcome. Rhule has taught these players how to be winners and has replaced that losing culture with a much better one. No doubt that under Frost we would be 2-6 now at best.
