This offense has moved the ball well against every defense they've faced, so I'm not sure what you're complaining about. Throwing Tommy in the mix last year after Taylor got hurt was extremely challenging for him, considering how few reps he had before that point. So with all things considered, I'd say the offense held up their end of the bargain last year. Now if we can cut down the fumbles and improve consistency, I think this offense has a chance to be pretty good. Not great, but good.
I think you forget that we moved the ball at will against probably the best defense in college football last year (MSU) with our backup QBs and a banged up offensive line..
I guess you're definition of moving the ball well is different than mine. We had less than 300 yards against meatchicken, barely got 300 against Georgia, and had low to mid 300s against Iowegia and Ped St.
Yes, we played well against MSU, but that was against the norm for both us and them. I guess we'll see how good the offense looks in east Lansing this year.
