ATH Curtis Carter

Mizzou is just puzzling at best. They have 14 WRs returning next year and yet they will sign 4????? Puzzling.
There's nothing puzzling at all. Of those 14, probably half are walk-ons and wont' ever play. Of the rest, they're very inexperienced, with Alexander and Perry getting most of the reps last season as seniors.

With a pass-oriented offense, why not sign 3 of the top 70 receivers in the country? Missouri signed more DB's than WR's, and some of the 'athletes' will end up on defense as well.

It is puzzling, it would be like a team having 14 linebackers. Its okay if its puzzling and you admit it, it wouldnt make you a worse fan.

Jaquizz Smith also impressed me a lot this year and Ebner will be a pretty decent LB as well, but I agree that they need a lot more recruits on both lines.

I don't think it's that puzzling given their offense. They need WRs for it to work and they have some big shoes to fill with Alexander leaving.

In addition, some of their younger guys, like Wes Kemp, haven't been that impressive. Might not be a bad idea to bring in someone to push these guys a little more.

If talent wants to come, i think you go after it. Kinda like our 8 DL players (or whatever it is) that we have right now.

did they commit to MU WV... and then string them along only to dump them late in the recruiting season. and the offense bit is just an excuse..... no one knows what offense we will run. we were simply trying to win games.
Like Braylon Heard? Hate when that happens!

MU, this has been covered many, many times before. There is little connection in the circumstances between Heard and Carter. Heard was always a soft commit to WVU.....they knew he was shopping around. When Carter committed to NU, the staff told him that it had to be a solid commitment. Pelini cut him lose when he decided to take visits to other schools. Some schools, like WVU, tolerate that, some like NU, do not.

Not sure why this is so hard to see, unless you're just here to flame.

Oh geeze. Pot meet kettle. Remember how overrated B. Gabbert was when he was committed to Nebraska? How he wasn't that good anyways . . . and MU didn't want him? Remember how he changed his commitment and was hailed as the savior of MU football? It cuts both ways. Don't act like Husker fans are hypocritical when MU fans wrote the book on hypocrisy. <_<

Why dont all these Mizzou fans go shoot off some fireworks, enjoy some of that Porn you sell by the gross of the interstate as your major industry, then go buy your 3 dollar Texas Bowl ticket and go see some average football at best.

Bo Pelini says "If you are committed to NU then you dont take any other visits after you commit." If kids want to take other visits then they shouldnt commit so soon. There is very little simularity between Heard and Gabbert.

By the way, Gabbert is not at all worthy of 4 stars. I am sorry.
